SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR THE RECYCLING OF LI-ION CELLS AND MODULES

WHY?

DISPOSAL PROCESS

The growing number of electric vehicles and mobile devices is leading to an increasing volume of used lithium-ion batteries that need proper disposal. These batteries contain valuable materials such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper, and aluminum, which can be recovered and recycled. However, if not handled correctly, the process can pose serious risks to health, safety, and the environment.

IFS Polska provides advanced systems for the controlled and safe discharge of lithium-ion cells and modules. Our solutions allow the energy stored in batteries to be safely extracted in different ways, depending on the process requirements:

  • To the power grid – recovering energy for reuse,

  • To a resistive load – safely dissipating energy as heat,

  • To other batteries – transferring energy to secondary storage, reducing costs, and improving energy efficiency.

Our solutions support both safe battery disposal and the principles of a circular economy. Each system comes with advanced safety and monitoring features, giving full control over the discharge process. This ensures not only safety but also compliance with current environmental and energy standards.
